The members of the Women's Giving Circle (WGC) have now exceeded half a million dollars in grant impact since the group was founded in 2007! They voted to fund $63,239 in grant awards at their Annual Meeting on Nov. 4, 2024.  Each grant recipient helps to fulfill the WGC’s mission of supporting women and children in the Eau Claire area. Women’s Giving Circle Holds Event in Support of Ukraine

Members of the Women’s Giving Circle, a Fund of ECCF, hosted an educational event on July 26 to help community members learn more about the experiences of Ukrainian refugees. Natalia Ripeckyj, a Chippewa Valley resident with deep Ukrainian roots, along with Luda Anastazievsky, a Ukraine native and a volunteer in the Ukrainian American Community Center in Minneapolis, spoke about their families and how they have been directly impacted by the current crisis, along with ongoing efforts to get citizens to safety.  Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th, 2022. Women’s Giving Circle Celebrates its 15th Anniversary by Increasing Grant Awards!

In honor of the WGC's 15th anniversary, the members are celebrating by adding an extra $1500 to the maximum request amount! Applicants can apply for up to $7500 in funding this year, up from the previous $6000. The Women's Giving Circle will be accepting grant applications from April 1 to July 1, 2022. Any nonprofit that benefits Eau Claire area women and/or children under age 18 is eligible to apply. WGC Educational Event Educates Community About Mental Health Needs and Resources

The Women's Giving Circle's Educational Event, “Navigating Mental Health Challenges During COVID-19,” featured panelists Laura Baalrud, Jackie Bachmeier, and Corina Fisher. They addressed youth and geriatric mental health challenges caused by the pandemic.
