Announcing the Royal CU and ECCF Nonprofit Professional Development Fund and Grant Program!

Royal Credit Union and ECCF are pleased to announce that they are partnering in the creation of the Royal CU and ECCF Nonprofit Professional Development Fund and Grant Program. The program was first announced at ECCF’s Autumn Social on September 27.

This decision comes after careful consideration by both RCU and ECCF towards the current needs of nonprofits in the community. Many nonprofits are without the financial resources to seek or create professional development that would help them help others. With the new grant program, nonprofit staff and board members can seek support for critical professional development and training needs. Program resources will also be used for partnerships to create professional development opportunities.

During the announcement on September 27, Heather Johnson Schmitz, Grant & Giving Coordinator at Royal Credit Union, said “I believe this example of collaboration and giving for the community good will resonate with each of you. Whether you are a nonprofit leader, philanthropist, board member, volunteer, or simply a curious community member – you each play a critical role in ensuring that Eau Claire is a community that thrives.”

Just like ECCF, RCU also has deep roots in the Eau Claire community. RCU was started in 1964 by employees of the Uniroyal Tire Company in Eau Claire. Today, the credit union serves over 240,000 members throughout Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota.

ECCF is proud to work together with RCU to serve the Eau Claire community.

The Royal CU and ECCF Nonprofit Professional Development Fund and Grant Program will open on November 1, at the same time as ECCF’s regular grant cycle.
