Dick and Marlene Cable were among the first members of the Society of Founders, which started the Eau Claire Community Foundation through generous gifts.  Marlene was a Founder of the Foundation's Women's Giving Circle. Dick Cable was a past member and Chair of the Eau Claire Community Foundation Board of Trustees.

Their generosity through this Donor Advised Fund has supported many of the local organizations that provide services to our community. To promote generational philanthropy, the adult children in the Cable family are given an opportunity to choose organizations in their own communities to receive grants from the Cable Family Fund.

Dick Cable passed away in February 2022. It's impossible to say how many lives his generosity has touched, but there's no doubt that the Eau Claire community is a better place because of him and his family. ECCF is grateful to the Cables for all the good they've already done and, through this Fund, all the good they will continue to do.
