2023 Women’s Giving Circle grant recipients Posted on November 8, 2023 by Eau Claire Community Foundation The members of the Women's Giving Circle voted to fund $41,300 in grant awards at their Annual Meeting on Nov. 7, 2023. Each grant recipient helps to fulfill the WGC’s mission of supporting women and children in the Eau Claire area. The organizations and programs the WGC has voted to fund are: Altoona Boys and Girls Club: "Social-Emotional Program Enhancements" Chippewa Valley Museum: "Children's Gallery Renovation at the Wisconsin Logging Museum" Chippewa Valley Youth Choirs (UWEC Foundation, fiscal sponsor): "Music Library Freshen Up" Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association: "Strengthening Intergenerational Bonds Through Transformational Cultural Retreat" HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation: "Eau Claire School-Based Mental Health Program" Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan: "Gaining Ground" Professional Dental Hygiene Express, Inc.: "Bright Smiles" LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS YEAR'S FUNDED GRANTS! The Women’s Giving Circle members pool their charitable dollars into a fund at ECCF in order to maximize their philanthropic impact. The WGC began in 2007, when a group of over 100 Founding Members each pledged a total of $1,000 over 4 years. Today, it has more than 250 members, and it continues to grow. This year’s grant awards bring the WGC’s total grant distributions since inception to $492,321. Grantees will officially receive their awards at the Gift of Giving Breakfast, which will take place on Dec. 5, 2023. The Women’s Giving Circle members invite the Eau Claire community to attend this celebration of philanthropy and bring a friend (or two, or three)!
