About the Fund

WHO?

The public library has been part of Eau Claire since 1858. For over 160 years, it has given members a chance to discover, explore, and connect.

WHAT?

We are now raising money so that the library can help everyone in our city. The Story Builder Campaign will get $11.5 million from the city, but we still need to raise $7 million to reach the goal.

WHAT DO WE NEED?

• A third floor
• A 200-seat event space
• Larger children’s programming space
• Rooms for meetings, big and small
• Quiet places for studying
• Rooms for tweens and teens
• More bookshelves
• More computer stations
• A learning lab for all ages
• A children’s play-and-learn space
• New restrooms
• And so much more

WHEN?

The Story Builder Campaign will start in September 2019 and end in 2020. Work would start in 2021.
