Established by ECCF Legacy Society member Victoria E. Finstad, this Field of Interest Fund is dedicated to supporting organizations that promote Nordic culture and heritage.

The Ager House in Eau Claire, WI, is a particularly important recipient of donations from the Victoria E. Finstad Fund. It was in this house that Waldemar Ager wrote all seven of his novels, published several collections of short stories about the lives and culture of Norwegians in America, published a Norwegian language weekly, and was the home which he and his wife Gurolle raised nine children.

The Ager House was purchased in 1962 by Luther Hospital, which later moved it to its current location and donated it to the Waldemar Ager Association. Since then, volunteers have restored it to its early 1900s likeness. The Ager House currently hosts a variety of tours and events, and it plays a strong role in promoting awareness of Waldemar Ager’s life and work.

The Victoria E. Finstad Fund also supports local groups who work to educate the public about Nordic culture through means such as dance, lectures, music, and genealogy.
