Lois and "Arnie" Domer made a substantial gift to help start the Eau Claire Community Foundation, and later established their personal Field of Interest Fund to support winter sports, animal concerns, and general community needs.

For years they owned and operated Arnie's Ski Shop, well-known to local citizens who engaged in outdoor sports such as skiing. They were avidly interested in ski-jumping and cross country skiing. Arnie and Lois were members of the Foundation's Legacy Society, assuring that their legacy of generosity continues even though both have passed away.

The Eau Claire Community Foundation's Grants Committee uses this fund to support grants that address the most pressing current needs of the community, particularly in the areas of their interests, winter sports and animal welfare.
