Dick and Marcia Larson are members of the Society of Founders, which established the ECCF through generous individual gifts. They are also members of the Foundation's Legacy Society.

Dick has supported the Foundation in many ways, having served as a member and as Chair of the Board of Trustees. Marcia is a Founder of the Women's Giving Circle.

In the 2001 ECCF Annual Report the couple said, "We live in Eau Claire, a community that we love, and has been very good to us. We know that by giving to the Eau Claire Community Foundation, which supports a wide variety of interests in our community, many people will benefit through the grants that are given on a yearly basis."

The Larson Family Fund is a Donor Advised Fund.
