The Kyanna Joy Darnell Flutter Buster Fund was created to honor the life of seven-year-old Kyanna Darnell, who passed away in February 2015 due to Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a form of cancer. Kyanna brought light into hundreds of lives during her brief time on Earth, and this Fund will ensure that her light will keep on shining far into the future.

Money raised for this Fund will enrich the lives of elementary-aged children in the school districts of Altoona and Owen-Withee. Its purpose is to help fund outdoor activities, including field trips, community gardens, outdoor classrooms, and playground equipment. It may also be used on behalf of parks and other recreational areas in the Owen-Withee and Altoona areas.
