Jack and Carol Bartingale made invaluable contributions to the Eau Claire Community Foundation. They were members of both the Society of Founders and the Legacy Society.

Carol was a founder and active member of the Women’s Giving Circle, a group of area women who came together to create a fund that supports efforts on behalf of women and children in the Eau Claire area.

Jack served on the ECCF Board of Trustees from 2005-2010, and he served on the Investment Committee for 10 years, including 5 years as Chair. In addition, Jack was instrumental in the revision of the ECCF’s Investment and Distribution policy and with the coordination of RFPs and money management changes. Most importantly, he encouraged friends, acquaintances, and financial advisors to support the ECCF by giving a gift to the Community Fund, creating a family fund, or leaving a legacy. 

The Bartingales have continued their legacy of philanthropy by starting this Donor-Advised Fund. Although Jack and Carol have passed away, their positive impact on both ECCF and the community will live on.
