Don and Kim Bodeau started this fund at the Eau Claire Community Foundation in 2008, to honor the memory of their son, David. David died on Memorial Day in 2007 as the result of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty heater.

His life was ended too soon, but his memory lives on through this Donor Advised Fund. Each year, his family recommends grants to areas of David's interests, thus assuring that the significance of his life will endure.

Don and Kim are members of the Legacy Society of the Eau Claire Community Foundation.

“Our donor advised fund takes our son David’s legacy forward as we donate to organizations reflecting his and our family’s interests. David is still impacting our community through our fund.”
