Carson Park Baseball Stadium Renovation Fund

About the Fund

Carson Park Baseball Stadium Renovation

Renovation plans include:

  • Replace the current aluminum bleachers on the 1st and 3rd base sides with a much safer and fan friendly permanent grandstand seating system
  • Add concession areas, apparel space, and year-round climate-controlled restrooms (eliminating the need for portable toilets)
  • Allow the park to better accommodate its’ visitors with disabilities

The Carson Park Baseball Stadium Renovation Project is a partnership between the City of Eau Claire, the users of the stadium, and YOU, the many supporters of baseball in the Chippewa Valley. The estimated cost of these improvements is $3.5 million, with the city covering half of the costs. The balance, ($1.75 million), will be provided by the users, area businesses, and individuals like YOU!

Whether you're a former player who enjoyed playing in the same stadium as the legendary Henry Aaron, or simply a fan who's followed your favorite player or team over the years, we encourage you to consider contributing to this Project.

All gifts to this Project are tax-deductible.

Building the Future while Preserving the Past

The Carson Park Baseball Stadium has been standing as a crown jewel in one of Eau Claire’s most beloved parks since 1936. The facility has been well kept and has had several significant renovations over the years, but the city and the stadium’s users recognize that to keep the facility in great shape and make it possible for the next generations to enjoy this important part of Eau Claire’s history, major work needs to be done.
The facility is enjoyed by thousands every year, starting with the local high school baseball games in the spring (and soon the UW-Eau Claire Blugold team), to the Express, Cavaliers, American Legion and other baseball games throughout the summer, as well as the other special events like the Shrine Circus and our City’s 4th of July celebration. It’s a busy and well used facility with roughly 150 games/events annually. The goal of the project is to provide for a better experience for all its many visitors.

“As former Eau Claire residents from many years ago, I personally enjoyed watching the Eau Claire Braves and also playing there for Memorial High School and other local teams.  My wife, Nancy and I are pleased to be a part of the renovation of such an amazing and iconic landmark.”  - John Skoug
