Carson Park Baseball Stadium Renovation Fund

Carson Park Baseball Stadium Renovation

“The Carson Park Renovation Committee’s first goal is $375,000 required for the City to start construction.  The ‘Fill the Seats Campaign’ needs only $38,000 to reach that goal, or 75 seats! The campaign continues to seek donors, and you can donate here. Visit Eau Claire is in support of this Project for our out-of-town guests. The City sees the Carson Park Stadium as an important part of our community’s history and, especially during its sesquicentennial year, is looking for ways to proceed.  The hope is that we can reach our goal and get work started soon.”

The Carson Park Baseball Stadium Renovation Project is a partnership between the City of Eau Claire, the users of the stadium, and YOU, the many supporters of baseball in the Chippewa Valley. The estimated cost of these improvements is $3.5 million, with the city covering half of the costs. The balance, ($1.75 million), will be provided by the users, area businesses, and individuals like YOU!

Whether you're a former player who enjoyed playing in the same stadium as the legendary Henry Aaron, or simply a fan who's followed your favorite player or team over the years, we encourage you to consider contributing to this Project.

Renovation plans include:

        • Replace the current aluminum bleachers on the 1st and 3rd base sides with a much safer and fan friendly permanent grandstand seating system
        • Add concession areas, apparel space, and year-round climate-controlled restrooms (eliminating the need for portable toilets)
        • Allow the park to better accommodate its visitors with disabilities

Building the Future while Preserving the Past

“As former Eau Claire residents from many years ago, I personally enjoyed watching the Eau Claire Braves and also playing there for Memorial High School and other local teams.  My wife, Nancy and I are pleased to be a part of the renovation of such an amazing and iconic landmark.”  - John Skoug
