Jennifer Beckermann explained her family’s vision for their Fund:

“After living and volunteering in the Eau Claire area for a number of years, we became aware of two populations that we wanted to help more directly. Seeing local people struggle with low literacy levels and homelessness made us want to make a difference. We also enjoy the arts scene and the way it has grown in the past few years, and we wanted to support those projects as well.

Becoming part of the Eau Claire Community Foundation gave us a way to focus our gifts while ensuring a lasting legacy for programs that help these individuals and projects. Our family appreciates the Foundation and the process used to grant the gifts to specific organizations.

Individuals or families that have an area of interest they would like to support should consider contributing to a fund or starting their own. Our vision for the Beckermann Family Fund is that programs addressing literacy, homelessness, and the arts will have a place to go for funds in our community for years to come.”

In addition to establishing this Fund, the Beckermanns are members of ECCF's Legacy Society. Jennifer is a member of the Women's Giving Circle, including service as Chair of the WGC Grant Team, and Jason serves on ECCF's Board of Trustees.
