Access Eau Claire grants help local nonprofits meet accessibility needs

A new online grant opportunity is helping Eau Claire area nonprofits increase inclusion initiatives for people with disabilities. Supported by the Access Eau Claire Fund, which was established at the Eau Claire Community Foundation by Dr. Katherine Schneider, these grants will help nonprofits facilitate participation in their organizations by people with disabilities. ECCF announces its Phase 2 Response and Recovery Community Fund grant recipients

ECCF is pleased to announce $200,700 in Response and Recovery Community Fund grants to 18 local nonprofits. This amount wouldn't have been possible without a generous $100,000 donation from C&M Companies. The grants will help these nonprofits meet urgent basic needs such as food, shelter, and healthcare. More than $500,000 in Response and Recovery grants awarded to local nonprofits!

The United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley, the Eau Claire Community Foundation, and the Community Foundation of Chippewa County worked together to help local nonprofits address the COVID-19 pandemic. Each organization offered its own grant opportunities, then collaborated to ensure that their grant awards would be the most effective at meeting Chippewa Valley needs. Happy 30th Anniversary to the Americans with Disabilities Act!

ECCF joins the Eau Claire community in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Signed into law by President George H. Bush on July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act is a landmark civil rights law that prohibits discrimination in employment, purchasing goods and services, and participating in state and local government programs and services. Emergency Funding Opportunities

In collaboration with United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley, ECCF established the Quick Response Community Fund to rapidly deploy resources to Eau Claire area nonprofits at the frontlines of the COVID-19 outbreak and for urgent operational needs.
