Activities to Assist and Support the Growth of WGC Host a small gathering of prospective members for the purpose of learning about membership Contribute food for events Help set up before meetings Become part of a Team Education and Program Team The Education and Program Team has the responsibility to plan programs, create educational opportunities and provide speakers to be resources for the members to learn about issues affecting women and children in the Eau Claire area. As needed, the Team shall find speakers, secure meeting venues, and arrange specific educational sessions. An ongoing goal of the Women’s Giving Circle is to provide at least two educational programs per year for members about issues pertaining to women, philanthropy and the needs of women and children in the Eau Claire area. Grants Team The Grants Team manages the process for selecting grantee organizations each year by developing timelines, overseeing the request for proposals process, and reviewing and evaluating the grant proposals submitted to Women’s Giving Circle. In addition, the Grants Team develops and updates the grant application and other Women’s Giving Circle forms used to evaluate grant proposals. Upon completion of the grant review process, the team recommends the selected grants to the general membership for a vote of approval. Once approved by the Women’s Giving Circle, the grants are submitted to the Eau Claire Community Foundation Board of Trustees for final approval. Membership and Outreach Team The Membership and Outreach Team is responsible for increasing membership, providing information to prospective members, welcoming new members and member retention. As needed, the Team will plan events for members and prospective members for the purpose of membership growth. Nominating Team—Appointed The Nominating Team will be appointed by the Circle Advisory Team and will be comprised of the Chairs of the Teams. The Nominating Team is responsible for developing a fair, inclusive, and comprehensive process for electing Women’s Giving Circle Officers, Team Chairs, and Co-Chairs; ensuring that the most qualified candidates are presented to the members. The Team will present a slate of officers to the general membership for their vote at the Annual Meeting in November.
