The Thomas and Jill Barland Fund is a Donor Advised Fund that provides grants directed to non-profit organizations and causes that the Barlands recommend for approval by the Board of Trustees.

Tom and Jill are both actively engaged in working with the Eau Claire Community Foundation. Tom, with his late wife, Ann, is a member of its Society of Founders, which established the Eau Claire Community Foundation through generous individual gifts. Tom and Jill Barland are also members of the Foundation's Legacy Society.

Tom was a member of the Foundation's Grants Committee and the Gift Acceptance Committee, and Jill was a member of the Foundation's Board of Trustees and Communications Committee. In addition, Tom is a recipient of the 2008 "Outstanding Achievement Award,"  which is given annually at the Children's Legacy Luncheon to recognize individuals who have made lasting and significant contributions on behalf of children in our community.
