Grant Recipients

The Eau Claire Community Foundation works with dozens of nonprofit organizations that positively affect the Eau Claire area in a variety of ways. These organizations apply for grants in four major areas: Create Culture, Form Futures, Give Green, and Offer Opportunities.

The following organizations are just a few of the many worthy 2019 grant recipients. These spotlights represent some of the great work being done on behalf of the Eau Claire community.

 

Create CultureCreate Culture

Grants in the Create Culture Category support programs and organizations that enhance the quality of life in our community through music, literature, visual art, performing arts, and museums.

Featured Recipient: Valley Gospel Choir


Valley Gospel Choir has been a part of the Chippewa Valley musical arts scene for over 27 years. Formed in 1992, the choir first performed on a Sunday morning along the banks of the Chippewa River for Country Jam USA.

The volunteer group is composed of approximately 90 members from around the region who enjoy singing classic hymns, traditional spirituals, gospel, patriotic, and contemporary Christian music.

Form FuturesForm Futures

Grants in the Form Futures category fund programs and organizations that provide opportunities for learning and other personal development for both children and adults.

Featured Recipient: JONAH

Founded in November 2007, JONAH – Joining Our Neighbors, Advancing Hope – is a grassroots community organization dedicated to deepening relationships within and between member faith-congregations, community members impacted by injustice, and strategic community partners in the Chippewa Valley region of west central Wisconsin in order to address root causes of economic and social injustice.

Give GreenGive Green

Grants in the Give Green category support programs that engage children and adults in activities that improve the quality of our earth; provide fitness, health, and wellness opportunities; benefit animals both domestic and wild; and work to preserve regional ecosystems.

Featured Recipient: Chippewa Valley Wildlife Rehabilitation

Chippewa Valley Wildlife Rehabilitation, (CVWR) is dedicated to rehabilitating orphaned, injured, or ill wild animals with the goal of returning them to their native habitat as healthy, productive members of their own community; providing information in response to public inquiries about wildlife; and providing wildlife education to the community.  CVWR has been serving the Chippewa Valley and surrounding communities since 2010.

Offer OpportunitiesOffer Opportunities

Grants in the Offer Opportunities category fund programs and organizations that meet important needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, health services, job training, and disability assistance, for Eau Claire area residents of all ages.

Featured Recipient: Mighty Maddy’s Mission

Mighty Maddy’s Mission is a legacy organization based in Eau Claire that works to create smiles for those affected by childhood cancer by providing new diagnosis baskets, toys for hospital stays, birthday celebrations and end of treatment celebrations.

The road for the children and families affected by pediatric cancer is one no one wants to walk down. It becomes a strain for everyone and completely changes your life. Our organization works to help bring back smiles to families and the kids who are going through treatments.
